I noticed last night that the front part of my sun roof looks a little sunken in. I barely use the thing and I don’t put stuff on top of it to have made look that way. Anyone else come across this ? Taking into Honda to be looked at shortly

Yeah, I took a pic the other day. Let me know if you see what I’m talking about. Hen I went to Honda I looked at 3 other cars in their lot that had sunroofs. And 2 others were the same and one was flush with the roof. Very strange. I mean, my eyes went straight to it. Why would I not have noticed it before ? And the week prior I had just clayed the entire car. I would have seen it. For sure. To me it looks not only like it’s sunken in, but like there’s a gap and doesn’t even reach the rest of the car

When I went to Honda they said that’s how it is. That’s why I went out to the lot to look at other sunroofs on other cars. I’m skeptical. I mean, why would I have NEVER noticed it before. Weird. I did take a cup of water and pour it on there to see if there’s any leaks. I couldn’t tell. Ur that’s also just a cup of water at a gentle stream. If it pours out will it be a different story. ? they are claiming there’s nothing to be concerned about. We will see. I also hardly open mine. If I do it’s just popping the back part open.

So after work today I went to a different Honda dealer. What is the deal with these people ? I thought it was just the one by me that was lazy and uninterested to help. But so was the other dealership. Honda is a good car but their service is absolute garbage. Both dealers basically told me it’s normal. UMMM, NO. ITS. NOT. a maybe I would say it’s normal if it came like that. But I’m 110% certain it wasn’t like that. Do you guys have crappy dealer people where your at too ? How are you going to basically not even look at it.

Thanks for finding that post.

Just a reminder to all:
1. It's the procedure for the 9th Gen Accord. It may not be the same for the 10th Gen, but doesn't hurt to try.
2. It is not normal to have any gap, dip, or raised edges along the roof line when the moonroof is closed.
I’ll give it a try. It may work. It may not. I’ll report back once I get the time to do it

Thanks for this info. I was recently noticing the same thing when I was washing my 2018 Accord touring and thought that doesn’t look right. I don’t have any leaking and I certainly don’t want to have any anytime soon! I never observed this on my previous 2009 Accord. That said I don’t think it’s the actual top seal which prevents water from coming in because there is actually a drain inside I believe so I guess it’s made for water to come past that outer seal anyway but hopefully down the interior roof drains and not into the car.
I washed my car and we had a heavy rain since. No leaks that I was able to notice. It is strange though. All of a sudden it looks that way. And why was Honda being so shitty to look at it. They didn’t even bother. All I know, is IF it leaks after 2 separate dealerships shrugged me off about, I won’t be going to get it fixed. I’ll be going to pick up my new car. Lol.
