I have the visor on my sunroof so I can't confirm/deny that mine does that. I also have only opened mine once/twice. Could it be that you're not holding the close button long enough creating the inconsistency of it not closing all the way. If you are holding the button long enough maybe there is an adjustment a technician can do to the sunroof to make sure it closes completely. Good luck and let us know how it is resolved.

Hmmmm… IMO if it was normal one would think you would have noticed it when you clay bar'd your car... also if it was normal it would return to the same position each time which from your description there are inconsistencies when it is closed.

The moonroof motor needs to be reset. The stop (or close) position is mis-aligned. I had a similar problem with my 2014 Accord. Eventually, the edge will sink lower and lower, and start allowing water to enter the roof. The service guy performed a procedure that reset the open and close positions of the moonroof.

This procedure is only listed in the Accord Service Manuals. I have a copy of the procedure for the 9th Gen Accord. Not sure if it is the same for the 10th Gen Accord. I will post a copy when I find it. In the meantime, tell the service guy about the reset procedure.
Here is the procedure you posted on another forum - Moonroof Reset Procedure
