Has anyone used the lane departure to pull power from for a radar detector? I know I saw a video somewhere of how to remove that cover but I cannot find it now.
I was thinking of taping the power source there as well for my front dash cam. There is switched power in the map lights too. and the access seams simple, just a few screws. I would like to avoid touching the Honda Sense camera :(

I should have booked mark the darn video because that is exactly what he is was installing. I just can't remember if it was the map light or the sensing. I think it was the sensing because I remember him mentioning the use of a pry tool which you wouldn't need for the map lights. Once exposed I think there was a green lead and white or brown lead. Only two leads to work with but it seemed to work fine. I like your idea of not messing with the honda sensing. I have the wires and everything else I just haven't had time to pull the covers off. I'll let you know what I find out when I do it.

You do need pry tools for the map light clear covers. once removed you can get to the screws that hold the unit in place. I just replaced the bulbs with LEDs so its still fresh in my mind :) I didnt actualy remove the box so not sure on what wire options are behind.

It would probably be best if you tapped the map lighting. As a Honda tech, when there’s a fault in the multipurpose camera or millimeter radar system some of the troubleshooting is to check resistance in the harness from the multipurpose camera(which is the control module for all the sensing) and if they see any damage or tampering of the wires I’m sure they will no longer cover the camera under warranty and trust me, I’ve replaced a ton of Multipurpose cameras.
