Just a thought of what Honda should make for an Accord. I think Honda should step into the hp game with a kinda sleeper Accord. Let’s put the 2.5L twin turbo v6 Indy engine in an Accord and make it AWD. Let’s show what Honda is About. I’m sure there will be a lot of Honda enthusiast that would love and buy this version of an Accord. As much $ as we put into our Honda’s this would be something you wouldn’t need to spend $ on to make it fast. ? The 2.5 Indy engine makes 700hp. Just a thought

I'd pretty much buy any version of engine if they would offer the Accord with AWD. Love my 2.0T, but I do miss the smoothness and sound of a nice V6. We can all wish!

Why would anyone need 700 hp (or 500 hp for that matter) just to go from stoplight to stoplight?
So they could go there quickly. ?

Seriously though there are cars w/that much horsepower and they are selling so there would be a market for them... as for how much market would depend on the cost (as it does for those now that have that much horsepower).

I have a 2017 Camaro SS and the 455 hp is pretty useless on public roads. At any more than half throttle the car makes a roar that brings unwanted attention and it is so quick that you are breaking the speed limit in no time. Don't get me wrong it is a wonderful sound and I love the car but will get you in trouble if you don't restrain yourself. So you guys with the 2.0 can enjoy full throttle and not worry to much about unwanted attention. Now AWD would be great in the Accord.

While not comparable to a Camaro SS, you must not have driven a properly tuned 2.0. They will most definitely garner attention at full throttle. However, one could argue any car could, so.....

This is true. Where I live we have Saturday night drags where anyone can bring anything car, truck and race down the drag strip. ?

You are correct that I have not had the pleasure of driving a 2.0 Accord but the 1/4 mile times and 0-60 are quite impressive. My Camaro has the adjustable 3 mode performance exhaust and even in tour mode it pops and crackles. The only other car that I have heard that compares it the Mustang 5.0 which sounds beautiful. I almost bought the Mustang for the sound alone. A 4 cyclinder engine can not compare to the sound of the V8..

But I can still walk your Slow Slow from a roll...that most definitely is true...?!

I don't think so. The sixth generation SS (2016-2019) is a mid 12 sec in the 1/4 mile car where the Accord is a mid 13 sec and my biggest issue is traction off the line but it does have launch control. Form a roll it is awesome.

I have run three new-generation SS cars...and pulled them by 1/4 on a 50 roll...I guess it's all in the driver and if it's boost weather. Either way...solid car and they do sound nifty dude...(y)!

Any 2.4 V6 Twin Turbo , enough Tunnel Room to Run it _ straight Up the Middle , rear wheel drive , would have to be special Build - custom Exhaust and all that . .

This sounds a lot like the NSX, honestly. A 4-door, AWD Accord would cost more than the average Accord owner is willing to pay for an Accord. Plus, The CTR is Honda's halo car. I doubt that they'd position the Accord in place that would competed against/detract from the CTR...

I don't Know that are a lot of Performance Sedans in Market maybe Honda would bring a Performance Version , with Center Exhaust and Air Flow Tunnel Type Spoiler on Both
Sides at Rear would make Nice Diffuser set up ..

Like to see the Battery Mounted in Rear so a Real Air Box - could be Done with that Extra Room . .

13" Brakes with Alloy Hats 6 Puck Calipers in Front ..

True Front Fender Air - Vent ~ Engine Bay side Vents . .

Nicer Custom Billet Compressor Wheel , with 9 Blade Turbine instead of the 11 Blade, so Motor is able to Breath , then Jack Dia. on DP & Mid Pipe 1/4" ID
10X Trans would only have 3 Over Drives , so Honest 7 Gears for Acceleration .. or Taller Ratios' for 1st _ 3rd gears with Final Ratio of Trans being 3.74 Final . . instead of 3.54 . .

Lets get some Aero Shaped Mirrors that Look l Future Sport , Not some Large Granny Mirrors ~

Just the Free Breathing Turbo , Gears , Larger OD on Exhaust , 2.5 - 4 more PSI Boost would Turn Accord into Grand Touring .. Edition
