Does anyone have any suggestions on how to replace the tires and rims to correct the lack of space between them and upgrade to better looking wheels. If smaller than 19" rims are used does it effect the speedometer?

Not sure what you mean by "the lac of space between them"?

"better looking" is in the eye of the beholder/subjective.

You can always stay with a 19” wheel and go with spacers.

No DRKNESS, thats not what I meant. Everyone knows this is a big Honda Accord flaw with the redesign in '18. The wheels, 19", are much too large not allowing any gap between them and the rubber. Just look and notice almost everyone has wheel curb damage because of this flaw. And the plastic spacers I think you mentioned will not last past one curb rub. To me the solution is going to a smaller diameter wheel(17 or 18") when replacing the tires thus allowing normal spacing to help prevent this wheel curb damage. I also think this will help improve the looks of this fine auto. But as my original question asked I think this will effect the speedometer and is there a solution to this?
