So the other day my phone wouldn't connect automatically which was weird. My boyfriend connected his but Spotify was still not working. Any audio being played through the phone unless anything dealing with a call, will not work. I took it to Honda and they said need a whole head unit...... From what I can tell I diaged all the buttons and they are responsive. Bluetooth does connect but once I turn off the car I have to manually connect it again. Phone calls work and i can take them fine through the car. Any audio music-wise or youtube doesn't come through and it doesn't auto pair when I get in the car. Any suggestions?

Some more details/information may help in diagnosing/getting suggestions....

1. What type of phone are you using?

2. Is your boyfriend's phone the same model?

3. What version of OS is your phone running (IOS???/Android???)?

4. Have you recently added any new apps to your phone or updated the OS prior to this happening?

5. Is your infotainment center software up to date (System Updates...)?

6. Have you tried a factory reset of your infotainment center?

We have tried it with multiple phones. All iPhones up to date. Infotainment center software every time I tried to update it said no media.

I did set back to default but it never wiped previous connections. I tried using voice commands like system setup but it doesn’t recognize that. When I hold the hang up button for 5 seconds it doesn’t prompt any diag or reset.

After rereading your post I have some questions/suggestions regarding the statements below...
Infotainment center software every time I tried to update it said no media.
Have you tried updating the software via wireless connection as mentioned in this thread - "System Updates..."? With you saying "no media" I was thinking you are trying the update via a thumbdrive in the USB port.
I tried using voice commands like system setup but it doesn’t recognize that.
To my knowledge a system reset cannot be done via voice commands look at the attachment in this "post" for instructions on how to do a reset.

Unfortunately the 10thgen Accords have terrible Bluetooth and quite frankly, Honda should be absolutely embarrassed for such a failure. I've had my 2020 Accord for about 1.5 years and, the BT has always been a pain. I'll probably trade the car in eventually. I paid $33k for this car and I expect all the features to work properly. There really is no excuse.

I've been having this problem since about the same time as you last year... I'm starting to wonder if it's a software problem for Honda. I feel like all the articles I've read in different forums are from around the same time. For reference I have a 2018 Accord but not mine is the base model, not the touch screen. Reset methods on YT don't work for my model and I took it in at the end of last year and I couldn't afford the diagnostic at the time so they unhooked my battery to reset everything but it didn't work. Every device that was on it is still there. And I deleted from my phone thinking that would help but now I can't add it back on. It adds back for a sec, but when I turn off the car I have to reset it and it only works for the phone, not the audio. No audio will come thru at all.

Oh man! That sounds like a nightmare. This morning I started up my car to go to the gym. My phone connected like it should have both there and back. But when I left for work an hour later, the car wouldn't connect. I usually give it a couple minutes and it'll connect. Not this time. I gave it over 5 minutes and eventually pulled over and added my phone again. I love the car but man, this is frustrating.
