If you pull back the carpet where the trunk latch is you will see three wires white, black, green. I'm looking for the wire that is the trigger for the trunk light. So that when latched, should be no power going to it. Can't find my wire probes for my volt meter, much appreciated if someone could help with this.

Ok so I've figured out this is a negatively switched device. The trunk light has constant power. If you touch the negative connection with the trunk latched the bulb comes on because your completing the circuit.
