Trunk parking light doesn't light up( not the upper section)

I have a 2018 accord sport does anybody know why the lower part of the trunk tail light doesn't light up. I had thought that I had a lesser trim but I have seen base accords with this trunk part lit up. (P.S. I bought the car used and it's been like that since I got it)

aren't those reflectors? they sell aftermarket lights that have led or bulbs in them but im pretty positive from the factory they're just reflectors.
I believe they are supposed to light up. I'm wondering if the previous owner might have installed some aftermarket taillights and then switched them back before selling (but perhaps neglected to connect the inside light electrical plugs)?
I opened up the trunk liner they are connected. The only thing I can think of is maybe a bad fuse, but I would assume that it's the same fuse for the main tail lights and those are fine
I checked mine this morning and, yeah, they light up on my 18 sport. I don't remember them lighting up on my wifes 18 EX-L when she had it. weird.
The car has an aftermarket spoiler it could be that moister got in and messed them up

If your issue is moisture you may want to take a look at this thread - 2018 Accord Major Safety Issue. The issue in that thread is due to a cracked lens however it gives warning as how moisture in lights/light assembly's can cause havoc. Good luck on getting this figured out... keep us posted.
Problem solved just bought after market lights. looks like the light itself was the problem.

i know this is a old post but was this issue ever solved? having the same prob. with mine. i was hoping it was a bulb but after taking it apart realized it wasn't. any help before i spend couple hundred on new ones or having iot drop it off at the dealer for a day so they can "diagnose" it...

thank you .
