Mine is tapped from the fuse panel under dash, and ran up the a pillar and over. I used the Valentine hardwire kit and a rear view mirror mount from Amazon.

Just curious if anyone has tackled this. Trying to hardwire my V1 into the new ride. Does anyone know what power cable I can tap into up by the reading lights/sunroof switch area?

Do you have a gen2 if so how do you like it? The mirror mounts are like $25 on Amazon. So if someone is not mechanically inclined, it's not a big deal if they can't fan one. Can't find the picture of mine that I postedI don't recommend tapping at that area. Run the cable down the A-pillar and use the included hardwire power supply. Did you get a new Gen2?
I made a bracket to hold my detector that attaches between the headliner and the roof that is held in place by the visor clip.
