Hello Everyone,

I hope this is the place to post my question.

I currently own a 2018 1.5 Touring and I really like it.

I am looking to get a new one and was wondering what your opinion of the Accord Hybrid is. Should I consider the Hybrid or just stay with the Touring?

I live in New England if that matters.

Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance,
Dave

Sounds like a new 2021 Honda Accord Hybrid EX-L or Hybrid Touring would fit what you are looking for.

I personally own a 2.0T and love it. I work at a Honda dealer so I regularly drive Accord's which includes all trims and engines. The 2.0T is my favorite due to the quickness from the factory, and the potential it has with aftermarket performance parts and I also like the 10 speed transmission. The hybrid is my second favorite, it still has plenty of power and the awesome gas mileage is a big plus, if you're looking for a very smooth and quiet daily the Hybrid is a great choice! The 1.5T is my least favorite only because there are two better powertrain options in my opinion.

Good luck Accord shopping! Prices are firm and inventory is tough to find right now... We only have a single Accord in stock ugh.

As stated if you're looking for quiet and smooth the hybrids the way to go. I've driven turbocharged sports vehicles daily for the past 20 plus years and I'm tired of them. It's so nice to have something so quiet now. The other factor is how long you're keeping it. Up keep on a turbo engine is way more time intensive, and expensive in the long run.

I couldn't agree more with you! I own a 2018 Sport 2.0Tand just hit 48,800 miles on it! I absolutely love it! In sport mode, engine/transmission are VERY quick & responsive! for the way I drive it in sport mode all of the time, gas mileage is what I expected it to be... I average about 23-25 MPG of gas. 10 speed auto transmission is smooth as can be, and the paddles in manual mode are very quick at shifting which I do all the time.

Honestly, I've never driven the 1.5T base engine. I hear from others that HOnda's version of the CVT tranny is better than other manufactures, I would just never want to buy a CVT tranny car because the tranny isn't smooth, it's clunky, loud, etc.
