Hi all,
I took the plunge 2019 ex-l, love the car and I commute 130 each way avg mpg....40mpg thus far. I'm not blaming the car as it's mainly 65 to 75mph hwy driving. What I'm concerned is how will the heat impact the battery longevity. Anyone with a more senior accord and experience?

20 years of driving my Insight has taught me to keep the cabin filter fresh. See, there’s a duct from tbe dash to the IMA battery pack. Some folks added mini aluminum dryer duct from tbe dash floor vent to the ima battery pack. Get the idea? Keep auto ac cooling the cabin.

Just like your phone, the system will shut off around 120F and you’ll be left with just the engine. No assist. Just restart the system and at leaC will work.

Bumble Bee Battery sent me a Replacement pack that was 33% higher capacity than stock 6.5A.

Keep the filters clean and the cabin cool and you should get at least 100000 miles before the pack needs replacement. My Insight has over 300K.

I’m hyper-miling with the Accord LX :)
