Over all, I love almost everything but there are a few negatives:
1. Seating position is too low.
2. Tires don't seem to be fat enough for the rims (Touring). The flush sidewalls can't protect the wheel rims.
3. Chrome on nose strip is way too obnoxious.
4. Tail light shape leaves a lot to be improved upon.
5. Moonroof popup wind baffle is the noisiest I've ever seen on a car.
6. Worst annoyance for me, I despise that little white Z symbol stuck in the dash wood trim to Bluetooth Androids!!!!!

Lots of likes and love for me. Main reason for buying the '18 was the manual transmission.

The nit picky things for me are:

The wipers did a terrible job in the winter. There will be new wipers next winter so we'll see how that goes.

No all leather seat option in the sport models (only ones with manual tranny).

The backup camera gets dirtier than any I've had on various vehicles, including SUVs.

In a "sporty" car the seats don't hold me as well as I'd like.

I love the fact that this time around we're getting an Accord with sportier styling but at the same time it has worked against my expectations. Where the Accords design falls short for me is with the tail lights. A design that built on what the last generation Accord had is what I prefer.

I agree with everything you said. I don’t know why Honda didn’t think to make that N (for NFC) blend into the wood design. White paint there was a HORRIBLE choice, as most customers will probably only pair their phones once and don’t need a constant reminder about where to pair their phone.

One MAJOR thing I would like to add to the list is of course THE SOUND SYSTEM. Number one on my list. It’s TRASH, no other way to put it.

I got the sport 2.0t in a manual.

My likes
I love being back in a manual
The sport rims nice
The car in general is a head turner
The front grill looks mean
Rides smooth
Headlights are a nice bright white

My dislikes
The sound system is absolute garbage ???
Don’t care much for the tail lights, like the back of its previous model better
The high beams are ugly halogen yellow color
Don’t care much for the chrome strip along the top of the doors. Will be changing that to black
( miss my option of cooled seats. Heated seats do nothing for me )
Could have put in a memory seating button.

Other things are me just being picky that aren’t worth mentioning.

The manual transmission is the main reason I bought my accord. It had been 6 long years without a clutch for me.

Yeah I had been out of one for 3 or 4 years. Love being back in it.

I generally enjoy the car. My dislikes, however, eat at me:

1) The hood shimmies at highway speeds. It's distracting and comes across as cheap/improper.
2) The gaps between the hood and body panels are overly large. There's no excuse for the tolerances to be so wide in this area.
3) These poor tolerances only accentuate the oft-maligned chrome grill monstrosity that graces the front bumper.
4) The sound quality of the sound system is just terrible. Contrast this with the excellent design of how the driver interfaces with the sound system.
5) No leather seating with a manual transmission. Whose idea was that? Has that person been fired?

I just hit 2,000 miles on my 2.0 Touring Accord. I like driving this auto especially the responsiveness and handling of this full size sedan. I like the technologies available and their a la carte choices.

I have two negative issues and Honda support has been useless in trying to resolve. The first problem is that the compass and turn-by-turn navigation suddenly disappear from both the HUD and the instrumentation panel. The dealership had no idea and referred to to Honda. Honda said they never heard of this issue and referred me back to the dealer. Both useless. I've determined that I can reset the system for factory defaults and that fixes the problem but causes me to reset things like home address, phone pairing, radio presets, etc.

I thought there might be more info in the printed manual so I requested them. They arrived and are poorly produced print-on-demand books whose images are unreadable. Instructions say "go to this button (image), then on this screen (image)..." Unfortunately, the images are all black and unreadable. USELESS.

Has anyone had a similar issue with the compass and guidance?

I know there is no perfect car. I think Honda is spot on with this Accord in this price range. One change more wheel options. Performance, styling, functionality and features nicely done. I am about the greatest OCD person when it comes to cars and trucks but I have learned to ignore the things that I cannot change

I know that this has been reported elsewhere. Check the other Accord forums.

Touring 2.0T
I am still reading the manuals and experimenting with all of the tech! And I am a 30yr tech guy! Lots to learn. I haven't put 100 miles on it yet but so far it is impressive in most categories.

Handling is good, tight feeling. The 2.0 turbo rocks, visibility is very good

Seats, are low. I have mine maxed out in height and it just works for me. Bottom seat could also be a 1" to 2" wider and they are firm. I suspect they will break in over time.
Bit challenging getting in and out for us tall seniors.

Audio system is not the greatest but serviceable if you experiment with the sound controls. Especially the over-stated mid range. The Touring has 450 watts 10 speaker plus sub woofer. Anything less than this I imagine is weak as many have said.

Disappointed I have to plug the iPhone in with a cable to use Apple CarPlay. I guess I will get used to it if I want to use CarPlay. The main display system & Nav is quite nice.

Center console door when up is not in a good position, hard to get into it with the seat all the way back.

But across the board, quite a great vehicle!

Bobburns24 - Download the entire .pdf of the FULL owners manual. It is 700 pages and scales well on your computer, probably shows better than printing. Of course, not portable when you are sitting in the car unless you have a tablet or something. LOL

Hope it is better than the printed doc!

Yes!

My car came with the latest software version (18AA-1863-001). The car's build date is March 2018 and I bought it April 11th. Yesterday the compass went away in the HUD as well as the Turn-By-Turn directions in the Driver Information Interface. Therefore, the problem is not fixed in the latest update, although a factory reset and/or applying the update appear to clear the error temporarily.

This may be coincidental, and thus may not be relevant, but the problem only happened after my sister plugged her iPhone6 in to charge it via the USB port. My phone is an Android paired via Bluetooth, but her iPhone is not paired. The NAV/compass directions were showing up for awhile in the HUD, but then went away. Maybe the compass got confused between the two types of phone being connected to the infotainment system.

The compass has not come back yet. I will however do a factory reset eventually, but hope Honda solves this problem soon.

I absolutely love my new 2018 1.5L Touring in Obsidion blue. I can only think of one thing that I don't like. The wheels are beautiful but it's nearly impossible to parallel park this car without scraping the front right wheel on the curb. I really wished the rims didn't stick out as far as they do from the tire. I would like to get my wheel repaired but, I know I'd just scrape it again. I may look into some different wheels at some point.

Few things on my list.

1) The blind spot indicator alert beep, when you have your blinker on and there is a car in your blind spot, is very weak. You can barely hear it when your are listening to radio at a reasonable volume.
2) Weak subwoofer in the touring model

Hello all,

I've been in the sport 2.0 for about 3 weeks and love it!!

Few things I dislike, it's not perfect but close.

Main one is, when I relax my legs, knees go straight to hard plastic and it's pretty uncomfortable after a while!! I wish it was padded a bit.

Anyone has a solution for that?

1) I believe you can adjust the volume in the settings in the infotainment center.
2) Noted by others. Count yourself fortunate you have a sub at all. /s
