Welcome to the forum and congrats on the Accord! You plan on doing any more black accents on the car aside from the window tinting? Really like the black on white look.
I've been thinking about the rainguards, I hate the wind noise when I open the windows and how so much water gets in this car when it rains.

Welcome and congrats on the new ride! The hybrid variant of the Accord surprised us all with its drop in base price over the outgoing model. What sort of fuel economy numbers are you seeing with it?
First 4-6 tanks I was averaging about 47 - 48 mpg, this last tank I'm getting 43 mpg. I usually fill up at Arco AM/PM and this tank was filled up at Safeway. Not sure it it's just crappy gas. I drive a lot of freeway with a ton of stop and go. It's also been hot here and it could be in due to me using my AC a bit more.

Hi everyone! Just picked up a Touring Hybrid in Modern Steel Metallic. Have you thought about getting the sporty side emblems? I wonder if they would improve the look. It would sit under the Hybrid badge on the sides.

South Florida Touring Hybrid

Hi everyone. I'm a new 2018 Accord Touring Hybird owner (Champagne Frost Pearl). Picked it up locally a month ago for $35,900 O.T.D. I really like it so far. It's quite the change from my 2006 Civic Si. It is very comfortable, not bad handling, with all the bells and whistles that I have yet to master.

So far I'm getting right at the 47 mpg EPA estimate, and that is based on gas in/ miles driven. I don't trust trip computers as my wife's Prius gets 10% under what the car says it is getting. My trip computer is about 1 mpg under what I calculate, so it's pretty close.

New to the forum

Hows it going? new to the forum. I picked up a hybrid ex couple weeks back. My question is about the driver power seat. I saw that the touring models have the multi driver remote and the seats adjust to the number on the key before getting in. Does anyone know if I can get the on my EX. Would it be just as simple as getting the new remotes if possible at all?

Just got mine last week. Still working on the final price as they overcharged me at MSRP at $35.4K when I identified myself as a COSTCO member purchase that is pre negotiated at $31.6K in Hawaii and since not many Hybrid Tourings offered here, felt best to snag it before someone else did and now awaiting COSTCO to get them for not complying with their prearanged pricing. So far for the first week, I am averaging a little over 40 mpg as I only commute 3 miles to work and back.

I was thinking of getting my front window done also. On my last car, Honda Insight 2 Gen, they couldn't do it as it would fail the meter check. Hopefully they can do it on the accord! In Hawaii, the front window has to pass 70% LTV on the windshield below the A1 line. Waiting for next payday to install Llumar Stratos ceramic tint. Cant wait as it seems five times better than the CTX i put in my Insight in 2011.

The Accord is nothing like my Civic Si was. Totally different animals. The Accord is refined, smooth, quiet. The Civic was a far more engaging drivers car. That said, I'm now 65 and I appreciate the room, comfort and fuel economy. I'm still getting over 47 mpg with about 4K miles on it. Trip computer is still a bit under the actual mileage when calculated on Miles Driven/Fuel In.

Interesting. I did the Costco member purchase thing too. When I got to the dealer, they noted that the Hybrid Touring was exempt from any discount. The other variants of the hybrid (and non-hybrid too) have very limited discount - around $200 - $500 I seem to recall. With the lack of Accord sales, you'd think Honda would be more willing to offer up some incentives.

Does anyone know what the markings on the Power/Charge Gauge mean? Obviously the yellow "Charge" side of the meter shows that you are recharging the high voltage battery. However on the "Power" side dial, there is a solid blue line then white ticks, followed by a solid white line at the end of the dial. I'm wondering what the difference in those markings means. I've looked in the manuals and on the internet and can find nothing about this. I know that it denotes the various levels of electric motor assist. But is it showing the RATE (or amount?) of power being used/applied by the electric motor or what? And what do the markings mean? Any thoughts on this appreciated. Thanks!
