Hi, just picked up a 2018 accord 1.5 touring. Looking to get winter tires. Any suggestions on brand and type. Also I have winter tires on 17” rims from an 2003 Acura TL. Would these rims have the same bolt pattern. Thanks in advance.

I think the biggest concern with the 17” wheels is whether or not they’ll clear the brake calliper. I have a set of Michelin X-Ice tires on the 19” factory steel wheels. The tire size escapes me now, maybe they’re 235’s? They seem pretty good as far as winter tires go.

IME all Japanese cars have the same 5 bolt pattern. Acura wheels will almost certainly fit.
Look at the spare tire in your trunk. If it's 17 inches, 17s fit. I use 17s on my 2.0T, but it's not a Sport. I think all the Sports and all the 2.0Ts have the same larger brakes. Some 1.5Ts have smaller brakes that work with 16s, but I think the Sport 1.5T has the larger brakes.

Likely the bolt pattern, hub bore, and offset are similar if not the same. Should be easy enough to look up the specs for the wheels you have If you have any idea what model it came off of. Depending on the size of the tires on the wheels it may not be the same overall diameter/width of your stock tires. Generally you want to keep any changes larger or smaller to +/- 3%. You can find tire size comparison calculators by googling then input the tire specs for each.
The 17” shouldn’t be a problem. The Sport, 2.0, and ‘19+ hybrids have larger front brakes which require at minimum a 17” wheel for clearance. Outside of that you can likely fit a 16” wheel.
