I just found this on Hondata's facebook page. It's almost a month old but I'm just going to put this here to spread the news out if anyone is looking into Hondata tunes in the future.

I mean a base line of 265HP/300TQ! That is quick. And Honda claims 252HP/273lb-ft.

I like to thank Hondata for the dyno run. I knew something wasn't right about this car. It felt a lot faster.

Well coming from the 2018 Civic Si community, if they can squeeze out 300 wtq and 260 whp on the 1.5T, then the limits on this SHOULD be much higher. That and the cars factory tune is so restricted VIT says they basically rape you on power. The torque and hp falls off so bad on top end that a good tune, NOT A PRELOADED MAP, will make these cars a monster. Of course I have the 2.0T so that will be significantly different from the Accord 1.5T but facts remain the same.

Love those results and odds are I will get it. Was waiting for a good tune to show up before I start getting into doing modifications like a cold air intake, cat back exhaust and the like. Just doing one of them is almost never enough, but a number of them is what i'm always after.

Not surprising the see the hidden potential restricted behind the factory limiters. It'll be interesting to see just how far a stock model can be pushed with an aftermarket tune. After seeing this video it becomes clear that we don't even need an R spec variant of the Accord. With some aftermarket modification, drivers could have a serious performance sedan on their hands. Does anyone know approximately what one of these Hondata tunes runs cost wise?
I believe it's like $350 for the calibration and maybe fine tuning and dyno runs.

I have a FlashPro already($700). You can upload the calibration for free once you update the Hondata FlashPro Manager to the latest beta.

I just tried this last night but they only have the automatic 10-speed calibration ready. My accord has a 6 speed manual. I emailed Hondata and they said they will release the 6 speed 2.0T soon.

I am new to the mod issue with Honda. I also own a Mk7 GTI with a Stage one tune. In most cases VW will void warranty coverage of any powertrain issues if tuned. The ECU software will not only show the new software, but can track the number of times it happened. Removing the tune will still be found. What is Honda’s policy with this issue. My new Accord is a Sport 2.0T, 10 speed.

I have to say I'm seeing more and more why the Accord won the NA Car of the Year. I know that was based upon what's offered in the stock model, but there seems to be some real potential under the hood of this car, that makes its value even greater. I'm hoping we see some real tuners on this forum, who show us just how much the new Accord is capable of.

I would assume that most drivers are aware of the risks associated with tuning a brand new car. Not sure if there is any point in hoping that Honda wont be able to find changes that have been made to the ECU, because I think its safe to assume that they can. Not sure of Honda's stance on the issue though, so I don't know if it will result in similar powertrain warranty voids.

I had no idea that some dealerships even offer aftermarket tunes. If that's the case then there is probably less to worry about with Honda. Also I think Honda sort of anticipates owners trying to push the most they can out of the Type R, it's certainly a car made for driving enthusiasts. Glad to hear you've never had issues and I don't see any new problems arising with the FK8.

I suppose its safe to assume that getting a dealership to do aftermarket tuning such as this, that's it's likely to be more expensive than at an independent shop? I remember taking in an Altima to have a cat back exhaust system installed at a dealer and was shocked at the price/ labor cost. And how do they determine what is and what isn't included under factory warranty work?

Overall, pretty much the engine/engine components/internals and transmission. It doesn't cover any wear and tear parts like brake pads, wipers, oil filters, air filters, etc. and Bump to bumper just covers everything else from electrical to suspension parts.

I don't think its something they do on a regular basis, but with a good relationship comes added bonuses. I'd probably feel a lot more comfortable having the tune done at a dealership, as obviously they are the best people equipped to makes changes to the ECU. I know there are a few owners on here who already had the flashpro installed in their car, I'm curious if it was done a private shop or dealership.

I love the Accord and what Honda has done with this engine!

Has anyone actually installed the Hondata Stage 2? Would love to see a video showcasing the increased 0-60 or 1/4 mile times!

I just wish they did more to the drivetrain to make this a sportier Accord. They treated us well to the new design but improvements are needed elsewhere.

My base line was 276 / 295

Stage 2 is 301 / 348

Yes, I know they read much higher. If you check my other thread for dyno results with stage 3. It put out 231 whp stock and 265 whp with stg 3 on a Dyno Dynamics, which reads as low as a mustang dyno.

Hey guys, new owner of the 2.0T Sport 10 speed auto here.

I am really interested in getting this hondata tune and juice up my baby, but I am a complete car scrub (software guy here) and I don't want to kill my reliability/maintenance. I really want this car to last for a while. Doesn't it void out the warranty too? But I want to have fun........ heh I can't decide.

Also, what are some other no-brainer upgrades I can get installed? Thoughts/Opinions?

wrong, the hds only sees the vin and the software version of the ecu. If you flashed stock all it sees is the factory software version. I know for a fact on Ktuner, if the dealer updates your software version, the next time you lock your Ktuner to the Ecu it downloads the newer factory software version as your factory map for when you flash stock. As long as you are flashing stock before going to the dealer they will never know you flashed. The ECU also does not store any datalogs, so all the HDS can see when they hook it up after the vin/software is any codes that may be stored and live data as the car runs on the factory flash.

When modding your car you should be prepared to pay for what you break. But just because you flash doesnt automatically mean you are toast. Im just letting you all know, its not like other manufacturers where they have flash counters or hook a device up it says the ecu has been altered. Its a process of elimination they would go through to even decide to ask you if you are tuned. If you are that worried about your warranty then the whole modding scene isnt for you until your warranty is gone. Truth be told, the tunes should be safe enough that you wont even have anything break during your warranty. Unfortunately for me, Ive had 2 batteries and an AC compressor covered on my civic but ive been covered every time. Ill never buy a 1st year model again. So ready for the 19 accord to come so I can get out of my civic.
