Hi I have the 2022 sport 2.0 What part number do I need to have Wireless carplay/androidauto I hope I am not misunderstanding this thread. Thanks @feldsam
I just hung up from Honda and they gave me a website and part number. dreamshop was the page and part is Wireless cpaa 08a43tva100

i went to three different dealers and they knew nothing about it. I was told to purchase the part and then I’d get a list of participating dealers in the upgrade. My main dealer where I purchased the car is one of the largest But they had never heard of the program to upgrade.

@bobbysee same thing here I am actually from the Middle East and the dealership here has no idea about it. Hence that I am asking about the parts to purchase it and install it.

It's actually a gamble to purchase it from the dream shop and then the dealer refuse to work on it 😕

Yes. I asked Honda why purchase it and be told the closest participating dealer is 1,000 miles away from me

Hi. I just bought an 2018 Accord LX with very low mileage and jumped on it without checking if CarPlay was there because our previous 2017 LX came with it by default. After driving it home, I realized CarPlay(need the navigation) wasn't there. So infuriating. Which head units should I get sir? Thanks in advance
🙏

I was finally able to install my unit into my car and it works! I now have Wireless Android Auto in my 2019 Honda Accord EX. The unit that came in my car was 39540-TVA-A23 and I replaced it with 39540-TVA-AC1 from a 2021 Accord Sport 2.0. You can definitely update and mark 2018-2020 EX --> 2021 Sport 2.0 - should work (39540-TVA-AC1) as confirmed. @feldsam
Question. I have a 2018 LX. Do you know what part number I should get to get CarPlay navigation?

Ok Im going to revisit this topic as now I need a more convenient way to view maps for work.

Is there an after market way to get the Apple Car play or even the Map app to appear on the 2020 LX screen?

Has anyone successfully replaced the 2020 LX screen with the upgraded screen that usually gets car play?

Hello, I’d like to know also. I have a 2020 hybrid LX.. with non touch screen.

I got no answer lately from anyone in this thread but they said “no-luck” for LX’s.

I did more research and finally came down to three options. Get the CarPlay module, an aftermarket touch screen unit which is made specifically for the Gen 10’s, or rid the car. I opted for the module. It’s cheaper than the aftermarket unit and able to toggle between the original interface and CarPlay. It utilizes your existing non-touch screen where you have to still push buttons but better than just using the iPhone for nav.

Be aware that, the flashy aftermarket touch screen units from china does not have the tire pressure sensor feature. I’ve contacted china on different platforms to ask about this, but no answer is the answer.
I was willing to dish out $400 and install it myself but just couldn’t do it.

Still waiting on the CarPlay module and excited to get this going. If I don’t like it, or if I find out one of the aftermarket companies coded the tire sensor features into their latest touch screens units, guess will cough up the $400. Fun times.

I'm Chinese, and I found on Chinese forums that someone replaced the 7-inch screen with an 8-inch touch screen, and replaced it with a higher-level radio (with wireless carplay) from lx to ex or higher, just An adapter cable is used. In addition, higher-level radio modules are external (can be omitted), and the active noise reduction module needs to be replaced (can also be omitted). If it is a mechanical instrument panel, the buttons on the steering wheel are unavailable, and a decoding module needs to be added.

Hi, can you tell me the part numbers so I can look them up ?

It looks like there is no part number, like it was customized based on the original drawing. I have solved the problem of tsb19-122 and no longer need carplay because I found an external screen with carplay on amazon.
So you are saying that the Honda touchscreen fits all the electrical connectors of the non-touch screen?

What CarPlay module did you end up picking? In a similar spot with a 2019 LX.

Do you know if I could take the 8in head unit out of a 2018 Honda accord sport(that is touch screen and has Apple CarPlay). Take that screen and replace the 7in non clutch screen and Apple CarPlay unit with the previously said 8in screen and have it run fine?

I upgraded from 7" to 8", it works perfectly, but I didn't choose wireless carplayradio because it's too expensive. I can use wired carplay now. You need to buy a 39540TVA and a 39710tva 8" screen, and you need to buy a special harness adapter (I bought it in China, I didn't see it sold in the US market), you need to modify a USB connector, after the replacement, the radio doesn't work, the active noise reduction doesn't work. If anyone is interested, please contact me. In addition, I am looking for a way to crack the system, after cracking, you can use wireless carplay and add a bsi or right rearview mirror camera or 360° camera. (In China, some people have cracked it based on the US version of the radio system file, but it is very expensive, and the radio must be sent over to crack it.)

Vehicle: 2018 Accord Touring with10-speaker audio system. Head Unit Mode l# 39540-TVA-A52 Doner Vehicle: 2022 Accord Touring with10-speaker audio system. Head Unit Model # 39540-TVA-AF2 (This an updated head unit to Model # 39540-TVA-AF1) I swapped out the head units and did a side by side comparison. All the plug connections were identical. The unit required a code to unlock the software. I followed @feldsam's instructions in Post #3 where I looked up the vin # by going into diagnostic mode. Took both the doner vehicle vin # and the new head unit serial # to Honda where they provided an unlock code immediately after entering the information. This paired the new unit to the car and I was able to go in connection settings where I now had a wireless carplay option. I have connected my phone and been using wireless carplay for a few days now without any issues. Thanks for creating this thread and to everyone who has added to it.
Hi Guntharia, Did the swap enable navigation to appear in HUD using CarPlay?

Hi @feldsam

Last year, I had the wireless CarPlay update installed at a Honda dealership for my 2018 Honda Accord Touring 1.5. However, last week, I received a pop-up message on the screen stating:
"Please insert USB drive containing valid software license file."

Unfortunately, the dealership is not providing any support to resolve this issue.

Are you familiar with this problem, and do you know how it can be fixed?

Alternatively, I’m open to replacing the head unit. Could you recommend a compatible wireless CarPlay audio unit for the 2018 Honda Accord Touring 1.5 with navigation?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hello @kodestriker, it is strange. You pay for it and they have to repair it. I would contact Honda America and explain your problem to they. I never do update to old units, because of licensing, which is not available in Europe. You can also select option to replace unit. In my first post is list of validated Product Numbers, there is also for Touring model. It is same for 1.5T and 2.0T.
